The SMD (surface mount diode) style LED T10 tube is a replacement for a traditional T8 fluorescent tube light (starters must be removed from the fixture) if the user does not have any size restriction on the tube diameter. SMD style T10s provide the best combination of price and quality currently available and the most brightness for a T8 socket.  The larger diameter T10 allows for more LEDs to be planted on the luminaire surface which results in a bulb brighter than a T8 SMD.
